Multimedia Research

Aims and Scope

Multimedia Research, which can be abbreviated as MR, is an international peer reviewed journal that deals with the wide sense of research ideas and developments in multimedia systems and their applications. The main aim of this journal is to promulgate the advancements and developments for addressing various challenges in multimedia systems and applications. The journal publishes high quality research articles after getting selected from a rigorous peer-review process. The published articles are of original research articles, surveys, technical notes, short papers and reviews.

Topics of interest, but not limited to

Mathematical, physical and computational aspectsof multimedia contents like image, video and signal for formation, processing, analysis, andinterpretation. Applications include robotics, medical decision support systems, remote sensing, video surveillance and so on.

Instruction for authors

Before submitting papers to the journal, authors are recommended to read the instructions carefully and attach with the Manuscript guiding principle, which are specified in this page. After the instructions and guiding principle are read thoroughly, authors are directed to submit their paper in this page and only online submissions are accepted here.

Submission

In submission of paper to journal, the authors swear that the paper has not been partially/fully submitted for review or published in other journal or accepted for publication and it won’t be published anywhere in other languages without receiving permission from the copyright holder.

Instructions

Contents of the paper, text passages, tables and figures are considered as initiated from the authors unless submitting and attaining agreement to utilize the same from the copyright holder of the articles from where it has been taken

Paper submission mentions that the authors are much systematic about the copyright policies, journal guidelines, journal’s terms and conditions, as well as scientific and publishing ethics.

Plagiarism

Manuscript is considered for review after screening. After receiving the manuscript from authors, the editorial panel deals with a task of which authors are not aware and they have to identify the plagiarism. Plagiarism in any structure constitutes a serious destruction of fundamental principles of scholarship and cannot be tolerate.

Examples of plagiarism include:
  • The author must recognize the source while using the unique concept or phrase from other paper.
  • Express the meaning of someone’s idea using different words without acknowledging them is referred as paraphrasing.
  • Self-plagiarism is identified as the submission of same or very similar manuscript to many publications at the same time.
  • Plagiarism is identified as copying the section from other manuscript without acknowledging the source or author.
  • Objects should not be attributed to source from which it cannot beobtainedis referred as false citation.
  • Without preceding approval involved from the parties, multiple submission of a paper are unacknowledged for several purposes.
Responsibilities

According to the format given in the instructions, manuscripts are necessary to prepare for authors. The responsibility of an author is to confirm that the submitted manuscript presents a corrected copy based on both technically and grammatically.

The publisher reserves the right to re-review or reject the paper if the manuscript is unsuitable for publication or it does not meet the criteria defined in the review form.

Author should be the owner of copyright and permitted to sign the Author Agreement. Authors should withdraw the manuscript formally in writing, before applying the manuscript in another journal.

Copyright

In advance, the “copyright agreement form” is submitted by the author for manuscript acceptance.

An e-mail is send to the corresponding author with full details regarding copyright transfer, then the author send copyright form back to the journal with the digital signature.

Reference

The electronic version of the published article with digital watermark is given to the corresponding author, after the article acceptance.

Journal provides the printed version of the corresponding issue with the fixed cost, if the author requires hard copy of the published paper.

Ethical Statements

By submitting the manuscripts to Multimedia Research, the authors assure that the they have fulfilled the following ethical statements

  • Submitted manuscript must be based on the authors' own research outcome, which has neither been published before or nor being under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The conducted research and its analysis must be complete, fair and truthful.
  • The manuscript must adhere with the copyright laws. All the sources of contents must be properly cited.
  • Copying of contents from other publications/ materials must be produced under quotation with appropriate citation inside the manuscript
  • Authorships must be defined truthfully based on the substantial contributions of each author/ researcher in conducting the research.
  • Authors are responsible for any violations of copyright laws, misconducts and unethical practices on the research.
  • Any violation, if proven, will lead to severe steps including retraction and removal of the published contents.
